First Meeting Preparation
Who will I be meeting with?
You will be meeting with one of our three lawyers, either: Will Vogt, Richard Graham or Ben Stanwix.
How long will it take?
Approximately one hour.
What should I bring with me?
a) Provide us with a chronological summary of the facts and have all the documents available prior to engaging us. Legal advice is best given in a careful and considered way. We rely upon the facts you provide us when we give you advice. Giving us all the relevant information helps ensure that we fully understand the facts.
b) Try to define the scope of the legal advice you require. This will help us provide you with specific advice and reduce the legal costs of that advice.
c) Consider whether your legal issue is covered by an insurance policy. Your legal issue may be a risk that is covered by a policy of insurance. A telephone call to your insurance broker will help you find out whether you are covered. Also remember that if you do have insurance cover, your insurer will require notice of any insurable event as soon as possible after it comes to your attention.
d) Ask us questions in relation to your likely costs. We will provide you an estimate of your likely legal fees either at your first meeting or shortly afterwards. You should feel welcome to ask us any questions in relation to how your fees are calculated.
